AGAINST ALL ODDS...

Music has always been one of my biggest passions (or, as I like to say, my favorite drug). Since my adolescence, I have been exploring countless music genres, falling in love with many different bands, collecting hundreds of CDs, attending to a myriad of concerts, and learning how to use my voice.

Due to this intense connection (and influenced by some obscure Scandinavian metal bands), I started taking singing classes when I was thirteen. However, for a bunch of different reasons, I was not comfortable at all being on stage, resulting in experiences that made me gave up the idea of having music as anything more than just a hobby. For some years, actually, I even completely gave up singing.

Life, though, works in funny ways. And, despite the fact that I “walked away” from my passion and I would have never ever imaged that anything 'music-related' could be my main source of income, today it is.

During the pandemic, I felt the urge to start singing and writing lyrics again. Surprisingly, this innocent attempt of keeping myself sane became a dark trip hop duo called Human Diaspora, and we are on our way to release our first album. This music project has opened unexpected professional doors that I didn't even know existed, and, against all odds, I am now building a career as a booker, negotiating concerts for different Brazilian artists. I am, therefore, currently working as a musician and for/with other musicians. :)
